Volunteer Opportunities:

The Association of Blind Citizens is seeking individuals who are looking to make a difference in the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired through volunteering. ABC has several volunteer opportunities that would enrich your life as well as provide valued assistance to people who are blind and visually impaired.

volunteer opportunity with Association of Blind Citizens at CAMP PRIDE, New Durham, New Hampshire, August 6 to 12, 2017

The Association of Blind Citizens' at Camp Pride is a summer camp program for children and young teens in New England who are blind or visually impaired. The camp is located in rural New Durham, New Hampshire.

ABC at Camp Pride is an amazing place for kids to learn, grow and thrive and it is so much more! It is an outdoor educational facility where adventure hides around every tree. It is a place where those who are blind or visually impaired can safely participate in fun, traditional camping activities that will help prepare them for a life of independence and success. It is a place full of endless opportunities for learning experiences that will help them improve their recreational, leisure and social skills. ABC at Camp Pride is a place where kids gain confidence while working together with their peers, and it is a place where kids are encouraged by teen mentors and successful blind adults. Most of all it is a place where kids can be kids and discover endless possibilities.

ABC at Camp Pride will be held from Sunday, August 6 to Saturday, August 12. ABC is seeking volunteers to help staff the camp. If you have musical talent, enjoy water sports, are skilled in arts and crafts, participate in athletics or work with the visually impaired this is a perfect volunteer opportunity for you. Volunteers for the Association of Blind Citizens beep ball program

ABC is seeking volunteers to be team assistants with the Boston Renegades. The Boston Renegades is a Boston based beep ball team for the blind. If you have played softball or have an interest in outdoor recreation the Renegades has a spot for you as a team assistant. Do you like to visit interesting places around New England? If you enjoy taking short day trips to scenic or educational parts of New England, the Association of Blind Citizens has an excellent volunteer opportunity for you. The Association of Blind Citizens sponsors various day trips throughout New England for people who are blind or visually impaired. You would have the opportunity to visit historical and educational sites along with providing valued assistance to people who are blind or visually impaired. Internships:

The Association of Blind Citizens is seeking Summer interns with the potential of a future employment opportunity. ABC is seeking interns who are interested in working in fundraising and development activities. Interns will be involved in project development, sales and marketing and public education campaigns. Interns would have heavy contact with the business community and the media.
